The eGovernment Integrated Information System of the Greek Manpower Employment Organisation came into full operation in 11/09/2011 and is backed up until today, with constant upgrades and updates in order to support the ever new and increasing needs of the Organisation. This system meets the requirements for management of transactions with the Organisation and is applied to all the Employment Promotion Centres across Greece in all Regional Directorates and the Departments of Administration Agency. The project was implemented in Oracle Apex technology, and the data are held in an Oracle database. The system serves a total of over 3,000 users daily and for its operation 9 servers are used, which are supported by two uninterruptible power sources (UPS) and a power generator. It includes 200 sites (Administration, Regional Directorates, KPA2, EPAS-IEK-KEK VNS) in a VPN network provided by OTE. It also includes eight network connections “SYZEFXIS” (Administration Agency and 7 Regional Directorates) through which it interfaces with external entities such as the Ministry of Interior, Municipalities Reporters, SEPE, VOUCHER etc.

The system interoperates with the following systems – operators: System “ERGANI” (IKA – SEPE – OAED), IKA, Ministry of Interior, GSIS, MIS Ministry of Finance, IDIKA, EURES, OTA CORRESPONDENTS, NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE, PPC.

In 2012 the Greek Manpower Employment Organisation was awarded for its eGoverment Integrated Information System, in the levels of Business Excellence programs – EFQM & EEDE “EVER TO EXCEL” and specifically for the “Committed to Excellence in Europe” and the “Adoption of Principles of Business Excellence.”.

The  eServices Integrated Information System of the Greek Manpower Employment Organisation came into operation in June 2014. This system serves the needs of operators’ transactions with the Organisation, aiming to reduce their visits to him, improving the servicing, saving time with automatic updates, speeding procedures treatment and reducing the workload of the Organisation’s human potential. The system interoperates directly with the eGoverment IIS of the Organisation and the data of every transacting operator are in constant synchronization between the two systems. The directly offered services are: the management of the curriculum of a natural person, the surveillance of data sheets and status of unemployment applications and other applications, the requests for inclusion into programs – subsidies and their payments and the objections recorded.

Gradually, individuals will be given the option of issuing and renewing unemployment cards, recording requests for inclusion in programs – subsidies and recording objections, as well as an employment search engine, through the mechanism Employment Supply and Demand.

Employers will be gradually allowed to monitor the data and status of job positions, the applications, the requests for inclusion in programs and their payments and the objections recorded. They will also be enabled to record job positions, requests for inclusion in programs, objections, as well as manage requests for inclusion in employment programs – training and search for job applicants, through the mechanism Employment Supply and Demand.

Services will also be gradually provided to third parties, starting with KEK and informing the Organisation of available training programs and the participating unemployed.

The project was implemented in Oracle Apex technology and the data are held in an Oracle database. Two servers are used for its operation.
